Dear Reader,

My name is Samantha. I am a cancer, which to some people, explains a lot about me. I don’t know how much I buy into astrology, but I think it can be interesting how accurate it is at times. I was born in 1990, so I grew up with some great boy bands and pop icons. I also lived through the 90’s grunge era, which seems like it is trying to make a comeback. When it comes to fashion, I live by the rule that if you wore it once when it was popular, and it comes back, you are too old for it. But I also say that if you love it and you feel that you can rock it, rock it.

I married my husband in September of 2014 and moved a thousand miles away from my entire family to live with him in the south. We are parents to a 56 lb fur baby who rescued us in 2015.

Welcome to 2017, by the way. I figure the New Year is a good time to make some changes in my life; Resolutions and all that. One of my resolutions is this: Starting a blog. In my blog, I will chronicle my other resolutions, which I will admit are fairly cliche. I will write about my journey getting healthy, by way of Weight Watchers; downsizing my life and adopting a more minimalist lifestyle; and gaining control of my financial habits and spending less. My goal is to use this blog as a way to hold myself accountable. Maybe you, dear reader, will have advice for me. Maybe you’ll be inspired by me. Maybe you’ll see my failures and get a giggle out of it. I hope you do all of the above, personally.

Either way, welcome to my blog. Make yourself comfortable and stay a while.

Love,
Your friend.
